What does a typical Irish Singagram consist of?

We supply three options, either a Solo singagram which is one person either singing and playing guitar or a solo musician such as a Fiddler, Banjo player, Tin whistle or Accordian player. The third option is a duo combination of a guitar vocalist with a Fiddler, Banjo, Tin whistle or Accordian player. It's an acoustic performance and no sound system or amplification is provided or included.

How long does an Irish Singagram perform for?

There are two options. The basic package is for 15 minutes which is plenty for a around four songs or sets of tunes. The second option is for 30 minutes. If you'd like something that's for a longer period it may better to look at the idea of booking one of our PA based acts via our solo and duo acts.

I want to surprise someone at their office/workplace can you arrange that for me?

Certainly, the great benefit of the Irish singagram is that it's totally flexible because it's acoustic and mobile. So, anywhere is fine by us. Workplace, Restaurant, Home, Gym, Hotel, Pub,. Wherever it is we can do it. One word of advice is to make sure that the venue are expecting the act in advance, just to ensure it all runs smoothly!

I want the Irish Singagram to perform certain songs/tunes as they are the favourites of the person who the Singagram is for. Can you arrange that for me?

Yes, we can and this will all be clarified at the time of booking and included in the wording of your paperwork that confirms the booking.

Which songs are the most popular for Singagrams?

It can vary widely but generally amongst the most popular are; 'Danny Boy', 'The Fields of Athenry', 'Whisky in the Jar', 'Sean South of Garryowen', 'The Wild Rover', Kevin Barry'. You can of course (if you book the duo) have a couple of songs as well as a couple of tunes.

>Top

Can the performance time be flexible? The surprise could be delayed slightly?

We understand that things can often be delayed so our Irish Singagrams will allow for this by thirty minutes. If however there's a longer delay this would need to be agreed separately between the Singagram and the booker. The act will normally agree to wait beyond the thirty minute allowance but may require an extra payment.

Yes, your deposit or fee will be refunded in full without fail asap.

I'd prefer to have an act play for a couple of hours and with a PA system. Is that ok?

Sure, but the Irish singagrams are WITHOUT PA and the best and most cost effective way to book that kind of act, for that period of time, is to go to our Irish Solo's and Duo's page.

We cover almost anywhere. Many of our acts are based in the London and home counties but we have others based in various regions of the country. We can send acts literally anywhere to venues and functions in both the UK and abroad. We work on the principle of 'distance is no object'. We've recently assisted with the supply of Irish entertainment for a venue in Chengdu in China and Irish Dancers to Japan and Norway!

Can I go and hear them perform before I book them?

If it's possible we'll arrange that for you but it depends on how far ahead the date of your function is. The quickest and easiest way to hear a typical Irish act from Brady's is via our samplers page.

Is an Singagram suitable for Irish wedding music entertainment?

Not really. Singagrams are a more casual kind of act and normally perform for a period of time of between 15-30 minutes. They also play only acoustically. We do however have lots of great options that are suited for your Irish wedding entertainment. To find out more please visit our Irish weddings page.

How do the singagrams dress when performing?

Depends on the event. Smart dress or casual is the norm. If it's a 'dressy' occasion the act will dress aptly.

How is my booking confirmed and paid for?

Once your booking is made and the details of your needs clarified, we will put all of the details on a simply understood agreement which is normally ratified by a deposit and signed copy of the agreement. This constitutes a legal contract between you and the act that will give you the peace of mind that everything is confirmed in writing. We normally accept payment via cheque or bank transfer. We can also accept deposit payments via credit cards, switch, solo or maestro. The balance of the contracted fee is normally paid in cash on the day to the act. If you prefer, you can pay for the fee in full by credit or debit card at the time of booking.

Are your fees all inclusive? Are there any 'extras'?

The fees quoted are what you will pay in total unless there is an extra travel cost involved, in which case you will be advised of this at the time of booking and it will be included clearly in your booking agreement. Travel costs are kept to a minimum. If the booking is long distance and an overnight stay is required for the act then this will also be negotiated separately with the booker and included in the agreement. We have no hidden costs and we do NOT charge any booking or arrangement fees. VAT is NOT applicable unless the act is VAT registered, which is rare and if they were we'd advise you of that at the time of booking.
