main styles of costume. Outfits worn are at the choice of the
booker.
How many Irish dancers will I get? The standard amount is four dancers per show, but the numbers can be increased on request at an extra pro rata cost per dancer. >Top How long do they dance for? The standard show is for thirty minutes continuously. >Top Do they perform in Irish dance costume? Yes, the dancers appear in full Irish dancing attire. They can perform in the traditional style of dress or for certain events, subject to your approval, dance in a more modern type of dress. >Top How far do your Irish Dancers travel to and where are they based? We cover almost anywhere. Many of our acts are based in the London and home counties but we have others based in various regions of the country. We can send acts literally anywhere to venues and functions in both the UK and abroad. We work on the principle of 'distance is no object'. We've recently assisted with the supply of Irish entertainment for a venue in Chengdu in China! >Top Do they perform anything like Riverdance in their Irish dance show? Yes, there is normally a section of the show that includes a Riverdance type performance. This can be omitted or specified for inclusion on request at the time of booking. >Top What age are your Irish dancers? Normally the dancers are in their teens between 16-19 or early 20's. >Top What do I need to provide on the night? Do they need a PA system? The dancers will need a room to change into their costumes and the dance area needs to be clear during their show. They will bring their own backing tracks on either an Ipod or CD and they would usually play their music through a PA system that's already part of the function provided by a live act or DJ. It’s also customary (but not obligatory) for the booker to provide light refreshments for the dancers at the event. If you need a PA system we can help with that too. > Top Are they all girls? Not always, a male dancer is sometimes included, but we can tailor the mixture to your specifications where stated. Just let us know when you make your booking. >Top Can I go and see the Irish dancers perform before I book them? Not really. The vast majority of functions that our Irish dancers perform at are private occasions such as weddings and company functions. However, on request, we can put you in touch with satisfied past clients of ours who can give you an unbiased appraisal. Rest assured of course that we pride ourselves on providing first class dancers and have a reputation spanning three decades to protect! >Top We'll have our own Irish Ceili band at our function can your Irish dancers perform to their music? This is not recommended as each set of Irish dancers will have rehearsed and performed to a specific set of tunes that would also be in a strict tempo to which they are accustomed to. In certain circumstances dancing to live music can be arranged but would probably require a rehearsal with the band and the dancers before the event. This would involve extra cost. >Top How is my booking confirmed and paid for? Once your booking is made and the details of your needs clarified, we will put all of the details on a simply understood agreement which is normally ratified by a deposit and signed copy of the agreement. This constitutes a legal contract between you and the act that will give you the peace of mind that everything is confirmed in writing. We normally accept payment via cheque or bank transfer. We can also accept deposit payments via credit cards, switch, solo or maestro. The balance of the contracted fee is normally paid in cash on the day to the act. Where requested we can arrange for the balance of your fee to be paid by credit or debit card too. >Top Are your fees all inclusive? Are there any 'extras'? The fees quoted are what you will pay in total unless there is an extra travel cost involved, in which case you will be advised of this at the time of booking and it will be included clearly in your booking agreement. Travel costs are kept to a minimum. If the booking is long distance and an overnight stay is required for the act then this will also be negotiated separately with the booker and included in the agreement. We have no hidden costs and we do NOT charge any booking or arrangement fees. VAT is NOT applicable unless the act is VAT registered, which is rare and if they were we'd advise you of that at the time of booking. >Top How far ahead do I need to make a booking? There's no set time but it's always best to book them up as far ahead as possible. We do however, often take and arrange performances at short notice. >Top How do I make a booking? Just call us on 0845 226 5324, fill out our online enquiry form or email us . Either way we promise to respond to your enquiry very promptly! When you make the booking we provide you with a 'plainspeak' agreement that will include all of the terms and conditions applicable to your booking. You simply check it through, assuming it's all correct then sign and return it to us either by scanning and emailing it or via post. We'll normally ask for a deposit that's deductible from the agreed fee of which the balance is normally payable on the night. >Top I may also need an Irish band or an Irish disco, can you arrange it all for me? Absolutely. We can coordinate the event for you and arrange for the Irish dancers to perform using the Irish band or Irish disco PA. We can also provide a PA for hire at the function if required. >Top Do you charge me an extra fee for arranging the booking? No. As an agency (in the vast majority of cases) we make our cut via commission paid to us by the act from their overall fee. If there were any booking or management fee involved this would be negotiated by separate arrangement with you and included clearly within the terms and conditions of any such agreement. >Top I need to discuss this with you, can you call me? Yes, we'd be glad to. If you wish to make a booking enquiry please either fill out our enquiry form which asks you for your telephone number or call our office on 0845 226 5324 (Local call rate). You can also email us directly with any specific question you may have. >Top |
