Which
areas do your Pipers cover?
Most of our Pipers based in London and the home counties,
but we also cover other parts of the UK. Our Irish and
Scottish Bagpipers also travel where needed.

Can I go and hear the Bagpiper perform before
I book him?
That's a bit tricky as most of our Bagpipers perform
at private functions. You can hear a sampler track of
one of our Bagpipers playing on our
samplers
page. You can also rest assured that our reputation
is very important to us and we have a vested interest
in supplying only the best Bagpipers available.

Can I choose the tunes played on the day?
Yes, once the booking is confirmed we will put the
piper in touch with you to discuss and arrange the tunes
you wish to have played. He will also help you with
suggestions if you so wish. All of our pipers have first-hand
knowledge of some of the most popular and appropriate
tunes to match the occasion.

What's the difference between an Irish piper
and a Scottish piper?
There is little difference in the actual instrument.
Bagpipes are a very strong tradition in both of the
celtic cultures. The uniforms and choice of songs are
the most obvious difference. Some people prefer the
traditional Uileann pipes, which are essentially more
Irish in origin.

Do you also supply Uileann Pipers?
Yes we do. Uileann Pipes are more suited to an indoor
situation such as a church service and require the Piper
to be seated while playing so they're not really suited
for the mobility achieved by a Bagpiper who can walk
around whilst performing. They are also not as loud
as the Bagpipes and the players do not wear Irish Kilts
and Uniform. The fees are the same as for a Bagpiper.

I'd like someone to sing at the funeral, can
you help?
Certainly. We specialise in supplying vocalists to
perform songs of your choice at both the graveside and
or the service, please contact us via our
enquiry form or call us
on 0845 226 5324 for more information,
costs, etc.

What are the most popular tunes and songs played
and sung at funerals?
At Irish funerals; Fields of Athenry, Danny Boy are
the most popular.
At Scottish funerals; Flowers of the Forest and The
Flower of Scotland are the favourites.
Amazing Grace is a favourite at both. Please note: These
are only examples and the choice of tunes is at the
discretion and choice of the booker.

How is my booking confirmed and paid for?
Once your booking is made and the details of your
needs clarified, we will put all of the details on a
simply understood agreement which is normally ratified
by a deposit and signed copy of the agreement. This
constitutes a legal contract between you and the act
that will give you the peace of mind that everything
is confirmed in writing. We normally accept payment
via cheque or bank transfer. We can also accept deposit
payments via credit cards, switch, solo or maestro.
The balance of the contracted fee is normally paid in
cash on the day to the act.

Are your fees all inclusive? Are there any 'extras'?
The fees quoted are what you will pay in total unless
there is an extra travel cost involved, in which case
you will be advised of this at the time of booking and
it will be included clearly in your booking agreement.
Travel costs are kept to a minimum. If the booking is
long distance and an overnight stay is required for
the act then this will also be negotiated separately
with the booker and included in the agreement. We have
no hidden costs and we do NOT charge any booking or
arrangement fees. VAT is NOT applicable unless the act
is VAT registered, which is rare and if they were we'd
advise you of that at the time of booking.

How far ahead do I need to make a booking?
There's no set time but it's always best to book
up as far ahead as possible. We do however, often take
and arrange bookings at short notice. Funeral bookings
for Irish or Scottish bagpipers are often taken within
a couple of days of the event.

can you arrange it all for me?
Absolutely. We can coordinate the event for you and
arrange for other acts such as an Irish
band or Irish disco to perform
for your function. We can also provide a PA for
hire if required.
>Top
Do you charge me an extra fee for arranging
the booking?
No. As an agency (in the vast majority of cases)

separate arrangement with you and included clearly within
the terms and conditions of any such agreement.
